Our client, a reputable and expanding civil engineering and utilities contractor, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with 10+ years’ industry experience to join their commercial team and play a key role in delivering major infrastructure works across Dublin. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring strong financial performance and contractual compliance. Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading cost management activities across civil and utilities projects
• Preparing detailed cost plans, budgets, forecasts, and cashflow projections
• Managing valuations, variations, claims, and final accounts
• Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor packages and procurement documentation
• Conducting site visits, monitoring progress, and advising project teams on commercial risks
• Ensuring adherence to contract conditions and industry regulations
• Providing commercial leadership and reporting directly to senior management
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or equivalent
• 10+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with significant exposure to civil engineering and utilities projects
• Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts, procurement, and cost-control practices
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
• Strong report-writing and stakeholder engagement capabilities
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to Dublin-based sites
